At the moment we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer for our client - a company performing an EPC contract for the construction and commissioning of a gas processing plant in Russia.

Job Summary

A Senior Project Engineer is is primarily responsible for coordinating the design and requisitioning of the assigned portion of work across various disciplines or project areas and/or facility units, ensuring compliance with the company's QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring engineering and requisitioning activities within the designated area to ensure adherence to schedules, man-hours, equipment and materials budgets, and contractual specifications.
  • Providing timely reporting to Project Management and operational supervisors, highlighting activity progress, critical deviations, and potential risks within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Enforcing QHSES corporate policies within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Conducting interdisciplinary reviews to ensure consistency of design and requisitioning documents.
  • Reviewing and approving vendors' documents, providing necessary comments, and ensuring timely return to vendors.
  • Contributing to obtaining client approval on technical documents and facilitating the permitting process as required by contract and relevant authorities.
  • Ensuring that all disciplines under their responsibility have the necessary information and data to proceed with their activities.
  • Contributing to the definition of equipment lists.
  • Key interactions:
  1. Internally: Collaborating with engineering disciplines, Sourcing & Procurement, Construction, and Manufacturing departments.
  2. Externally: Engaging with clients, subcontractors, vendors, partners, and relevant authorities and organizations.
  • This role involves critical coordination and oversight of engineering and requisitioning activities to ensure seamless progress and adherence to standards and requirements, while also fostering effective internal and external collaborations.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent diploma;
  • 7-8 years of relevant experience in process, engineering or other project execution disciplines; Preferably to have experience in EPC projects in Oil&Gas, petrochemical, nuclear or Metallurgy projects.
  • Autonomy in managing a portion of work: Engineering and requisitioning coordination;
  • May lead a small team of Lead Engineers;
  • Languages: russian spoken (is must), english confident spoken, written and technical (is must).

Conditions:

  • Working for one of the large scale Oil&Gas construction project of federal importance;
  • Labor contract until December 2027 with possibility of prolongation;
  • Office location – Saints-Petersburg, work schedule 5/2 (no remote work);
