Legal Manager

The candidate will provide:

- Drafting, review and negotiation of cross-border contracts and agreements (both international and English Law governed): asset management, quasi-brokerage, custody, securities sale and purchase agreements, companies and funds administration agreements, agreements for audit services, etc., assessment of legal risks; drafting memoranda on legal risks under such agreements;

- Projects support (launch of mutual and closed-ended funds, constant cooperation with outside legal counsels and service providers, set-up of companies structure for the project, their corporate support, drafting of corporate resolutions);

- Assist other departments on bank accounts opening, KYC/AML/CDD checks;

- Analyze transactions from regulators’ approvals perspective, drafting and filing of petitions for preliminary consents and post-notifications when applicable;

- Draft of intra-group loan agreements and support of corporate financing schemes;

- Provide advice and assistance to internal clients with respect to corporate issues, arranging for notarization of documents;

- Provide advice and consultation focusing on a variety of everyday issues relating to investment management activities, and assisting in coordinating projects and managing business relationships.

- Review customers’ complaints and assist in their resolving.

Key Competencies & Qualifications

- Relevant compliance experience at a private equity firm, hedge fund, investment manager or investment bank minimum 3 years.

- Experience with international regulations. Practical knowledge of Common Law.

- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

- Ability to take on responsibility and act independently.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Higher legal education.

- Practical experience in legal support of Investment Management business as well as general corporate activities.

- Fluent English.
