Purpose of the position:

The Project Manager is fully responsible for the projects assigned to him, i.e. ensures timely target achievement, controls product and development costs, technical realization of the products as well as compliance with the milestones set by the customers and internal requirements.

Within this activity the Project Manager is the primary contact between the customer and Joyson Safety Systems.

Throughout the project the Project Manager has the authority to pass instructions to the Project Team members in technical matters to achieve the project targets.

Duties:

1. Contribution to the improvement of the company’s earnings and market shares through reliable project management in terms of quality, timeframe and cost.

2. Support of order acquisition activities.

3. Target-oriented execution of the projects based on work progress and reaching of milestones as per Joyson Safety Systems Project Management System (PMS) as well as achievement of the targets for product and project costs.

4. Generating ideas for supplemental claims to improve project profitability.

5. Control and technical support of the responsible account managers in putting through supplemental claims.

6. Establishment and definition of the project targets jointly with the disciplines involved in the project.

7. Transposition of those targets into a project and resource plan as well as a time and activity schedule for the project team.

8. Primary contact to the customer for all project-relevant issues, particularly for the staff of customer responsible for the project as well as customer’s contacts at the development department.

9. If applicable, management of the development partners commissioned by him.

10. Preparation and implementation of presentations at the customer's audits.

11. Coordination of the preparation of customer-specific project documentation

12. Storage of important project documentation including agreements with the customer, transmission of all significant customer information within the company, particularly to the responsible customer account.

13. Providing excellent customer service, i.e. proactive support for customers and development partners.

14. Coordination of the Project Team members within the Joyson Safety Systems Project Management System (PMS) to achieve the defined project targets. Delegation of work packages by setting SMART targets and expediting the completion of such packages in terms of time and content.

15. Implementation of the targets and activities in compliance with the relevant legal, labor law, employer's liability insurance and internal regulations and agreements.

16. Contribution to the continuous improvement of the project organization for own projects and for encouraging the Project Team as well as active promotion of cooperation within the Project Team and of the team building process.

17. Ensuring prompt exchange of information within the Project Team, especially in relation to the team members of the Joyson Safety Systems plants involved.

18. Contribution to the continuous improvement of the Project Management System (PMS).

19. Supporting the superiors of the team members in setting targets, assessing the target achievement and staff development of the team members.

20. Any other duties appropriate to the level of training and professional experience of the post holder.

High Technical Education
Experience to work in automotive industry (in safety area is nice to have)
High technical knowledge / skills

Fluent English language (reading, typing, speaking)
