Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist to manage our international payroll processes, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and oversee compensation and benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have a robust HR background, with strong analytical skills and a good understanding of accounting. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees, vendors, and freelancers across multiple countries.
Responsibilities:
Track the payroll for employees in various countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Review and analyze tax systems in accordance with country-specific regulations.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Develop and maintain compensation and salary reports.
Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive salary structures.
Oversee the company’s stock options plan.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide detailed reports on employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Analyze benefit programs to recommend improvements or changes.
Monitor and report on the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various HR functions.
Collaborate with the HR team to develop strategies for improving performance against KPIs.
Ensure timely payments and manage contracts for vendors and freelancers.
Track project deliverables and payment milestones.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and/or Accounting, with a focus on payroll and compensation.
Experience in International startups (below 300 employees) where you grew with the company from 0 to 1 and were the only Comp&Ben employee
Experience with international payroll and tax reporting is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent understanding of accounting principles.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Experience with stock options plan administration is a plus
Experience with vendor and freelancer management.
