Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist to manage our international payroll processes, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and oversee compensation and benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have a robust HR background, with strong analytical skills and a good understanding of accounting. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees, vendors, and freelancers across multiple countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Track the payroll for employees in various countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

  • Review and analyze tax systems in accordance with country-specific regulations.

  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Develop and maintain compensation and salary reports.

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive salary structures.

  • Oversee the company’s stock options plan.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide detailed reports on employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.

  • Analyze benefit programs to recommend improvements or changes.

  • Monitor and report on the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various HR functions.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop strategies for improving performance against KPIs.

  • Ensure timely payments and manage contracts for vendors and freelancers.

  • Track project deliverables and payment milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and/or Accounting, with a focus on payroll and compensation.

  • Experience in International startups (below 300 employees) where you grew with the company from 0 to 1 and were the only Comp&Ben employee

  • Experience with international payroll and tax reporting is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

  • Experience with stock options plan administration is a plus

  • Experience with vendor and freelancer management.
