Chief Financial Officer

Our Client, the Company that invests in startups (portfolio companies) in different industries (oil & gas equipment, incineration equipment, medical gas equipment, assembling of cars) and providing back-up support to the portfolio companies, in search of the Chief Financial Officer

The key responsibilities:

- Preparation of the different reports, financial analysis and relevant presentations upon the request from Managing director

- Active participation in the management of the portfolio companies from the financial point of view

- Advising colleagues from the other departments (Legal department, HR department, IT department) and the project managers on financial matters

- Organization and control over the audits of the companies within the Group

- Organization and control over the inventory procedures in the Group companies

- Preparation of the Management Accounts on a monthly basis, and analysis of actual expenses against the budgeted ones (cash basis)

- Preparation of the Annual & the Quarterly budgets for the Managing company and the portfolio companies

- Consolidation of the budgets and preparation of the Consolidated funds request

- Control over all the payments within the Group (Management company and portfolio companies) according to the payment approval procedure

- Reviewing the agreements from the financial point of view (estimation of costs, application of taxes, defence of the company’s interests)

- Managing the cash flows within the Group of companies & between the companies (distribution of funds among the portfolio companies, control over cash gaps, suggestions regarding the avoidance of the cash gaps expected)

- Control over the sufficiency of funds on the bank accounts of each Group company

- Managing the Accounting Department (5 employees)

- Knowledge of the Bookkeeping processes of the company, and providing instructions to Accountants in case of questions from their side

Important skills:

- Knowledge of the financial tools for financing the portfolio companies & successful application of the relevant agreement forms or operations with capital/equity

- Knowledge of the RAS (Russian Accounting Standards) and the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)

- Knowledge of the taxation systems and main tax types
