Design engineer

Irbis Company is a dynamic firm specializing in the creation of custom buggy vehicles tailored for both civilian and military needs. It manages all aspects of production, from conceptualization to prototyping, manufacturing, and distribution. With the recent launch of a production plant near Moscow, its headquarters in the city now coordinate all significant operational activities. The company is expanding its team and activities in response to a growing demand, aiming to better meet market needs.
We are seeking for an experience design engineer proficient in designing and developing mechanical and structural components for vehicles. The role involves conducting simulations and calculations to ensure the integrity and functionality of both the vehicle’s structure and automotive elements. The design engineer will be tasked with overseeing the entire vehicle design process from conception to completion, including the preparation of all technical documentation necessary for production.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical and structural components.
• Conduct simulations and calculations to ensure the integrity and functionality of vehicle structures and automotive elements.
• Oversee the entire vehicle design process, from initial concept to final production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to optimize design solutions and meet project objectives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and engineering reports, to support the production process drawings, work instructions, bill of materials, product tree).

Reporting to: workshop production and procurement manager

Skills and Position requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering-MUST.
• Proven experience of 5-8 years in manufacturing process design and production, in the automotive (preferably) or machinery building industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and drawing.
• Multi-tasker, independent, punctual, and accurate with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively.
• Team-oriented, collaborative, good personal relationships.
• English: advanced level both in written and verbal communication.
