Our client - an innovative Indian company, offering its customers and partners various collaborative opportunities in the field of Healthcare, Contract Manufacturing, Development and Marketing of Over The Counter Products: Herbal Lozenges and Medicated Lozenges, Extension to be added later in Gummies, Syrup, Topicals formats is starting its business in Russia and has an opening for Sales and Marketing Director in Moscow.

Main functions:

Team Building and Leadership:

  • Build a high-performing lien marketing team from scratch, recruit and onboard professionals with experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

Market Research and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities and challenges in the Russian OTC pharmaceutical market, specifically focusing on lozenges.
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and go-to-market plan based on market insights and target audience analysis.

Infrastructure Development and Vendor Management:

  • Identify and secure suitable warehouse facilities and infrastructure for storing OTC pharmaceutical products, like lozenges.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate agreements, and ensure seamless supply chain operations for timely product availability.

Partnership and Tie-ups:

  • Establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as pharmacies, healthcare providers, distributors, and marketing agencies to expand product reach and visibility.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements for distribution, promotion, and co-marketing initiatives to drive product sales and brand awareness.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards for the marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical products in Russia.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain product integrity and adherence to pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Financial Planning and Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage marketing budgets, forecasting expenses for team building, infrastructure setup, promotional activities, and other initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze ROI on marketing investments, and optimize spending to achieve business objectives

Reporting and Performance Analysis:

  • Implement tracking mechanisms to measure and report on key performance indicators related to sales, market share, customer feedback, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Generate regular reports and insights for senior management review, providing recommendations for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • This set of job responsibilities outlines the crucial tasks and duties expected from a Business Head in Marketing in Russia focusing on OTC/Pharma Lozenges, with an emphasis on starting from scratch and building a successful marketing operation in the pharmaceutical sector.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the similar role;
  • Higher education (Chemistry, Pharma, Biotechnology, Biochemistry)

  • Solid knowledge and experience of regulatory legislation, industry standards and guidelines in Russia with respect to medicines

  • English for written and verbal communication
