Job Overview:

The Deputy General Manager of Production Operations is integral to managing and optimizing the organization's oil and gas production activities. This executive role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and driving strategic initiatives that
align with the company’s objectives.

Key responsibilities:
Education
• Master’s or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

Technical
• Minimum 15 years in production operations in the oil and gas industry.
• Expertise in managing large-scale production operations and implementing operational enhancements.
• Strong understanding of industry-specific regulatory and safety standards.
Non-technical
• At least 5 years leading team or groups of technical professionals, their
development and competencies
• Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring and developing
high-performing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical
skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively
with a range of stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of
production operations.
• Implement strategies to enhance production efficiency and output while maintaining compliance with
industry safety standards.
• Oversee the production process, ensuring that operations are streamlined and meet predefined performance metrics.
• Uphold stringent safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations to maintain a safe operating environment.
• Lead the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovations in production operations to boost efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including field staff, management, and external partners, to ensure alignment on production objectives.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production operations, adjusting strategies as needed to meet business goals.
• Efficiently manage resources, including human capital and equipment, to optimize production operations and reduce downtime.
• Continuously seek to improve production processes through feedback, research, and implementation of best practices.
• Prepare for and swiftly address any operational crises or disruptions, minimizing impact on production and ensuring quick recovery.
