Lead DevOps Engineer

Payler is a remote-first London-based global FinTech business with over 10 years of track record in payments processing. We offer a unified platform for all financial operations: multicurrency accounts, local & international payments, payments acceptance, corporate cards, FX, and more.

Currently, we're not considering Russian-based candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage a secure, scalable multi-cloud, multi-region architecture (AWS, Yandex Cloud)

• Lead the automation of operational processes, system deployments, and application scaling

• Oversee the work of the DevOps team

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate software release processes

• Collaborate with Development and Security teams to create a comprehensive Infrastructure as Code (IAC) strategy

• Monitor and ensure system performance, availability, and security

• Maintain compliance with industry security standards, including but not limited to PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SOC2

• Be proactive in identifying potential issues and provide scalable solutions

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations and architectures

Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of DevOps experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

• Strong background in cloud architecture, particularly in AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI

• Experience in implementing and maintaining security protocols and compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOC2)

• Strong scripting skills in Shell or Python

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Fintech domain experience is a strong plus
