Main Purpose
The Digital Officer is an essential member of the Communications team. The post will focus on ensuring that MSF’s digital channels in Russian reflect MSF’s institutional messaging and are engaging and appealing.
Main tasks:
Managing MSF Russian language social media
- To actively participate in the process of relaunch and redesign of MSF social media channels according to the comms strategy and existing MSF guidelines for digital content
- To assist Head of communications in the process of finding contractors (PR agency/designer) for social media redesign
- To assist in development of social media strategy, insure its realization and to adapt it according to the current needs based on regular evaluation
- To create content plan and to manage the day-to-day release of MSF content on MSF social media channels
- Promote MSF posts on social media platforms in order to raise awareness about MSF activities in the Russian-speaking social media segment
- To adapt international AV content from MSF multimedia database for social media, create original content.
Managing the Russian-language website
- To facilitate the process of development of new MSF website (to ensure close collaboration with digital team of the MSF movement, outsource tecnichal consultant and to track the work of developers)
- To manage the Russian-language website, maintain contact with the developers
- To use SEO techniques and other technical opportunities in order to ensure MSF’s online content is easily found by potential Russian-speaking audiences.
Podcast:
- To identify platforms and technical tools for podcast in Russian language
- To participate in process of content creation for podcast, editing it, publishing and promoting it.
Other tasks:
- Analyze the audience of website and social media accounts, provide statistics on regular basis
- Provide social media monitoring on regular basis, conduct specisic search when requested
- Provide AV/digital support for HR and engagement activities
- Select AV content for media on request
- To identify needs for external contractors (designers etc.), manage their work.
Requirements: Education
Essential: degree in Journalism, Communications or related university degree.
Experience
Essential: previous working experience of at least one year in communications, experience managing websites and SMM, portfolio of accounts.
Languages
Fluency in both written and oral English (B2 or higher), Russian (native speaker) is a requisite Experience in Translating/Interpreting (Russian<>English).
Knowledge
Writing skills, AV content creation, SEO. Advanced computer skills and knowledge of monitoring programs, Adobe creative cloud.
