Principal Process Engineer / Главный специалист технологического отдела

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of process designs and driving resolution of technical issues;
• Deliver process designs through Concept Select, FEED and Detailed Design projects;
• Undertake process design work of units as required and check/approve work on the project as appropriate;
• Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the designs;
• Develop the basis of design, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations;
• Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Russian Laws and requirements, Client's requirements and / or those issued by GPE;
• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions and P&IDs for review and approval;
• Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed;
• Perform safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and other safety reviews as directed;
• Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project 3D CAD model;
• Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers;
• Assist as required in the preparation of Operating Manuals and Operating Procedures.

Skills / Qualifications

• Higher professional technical education;
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Process design for Upstream oil and gas industry;
• Experience of working in international company is a plus;
• Experience in working with international standards and practices is a plus (Shell DEP, API, ISO, etc.);
• Skilled in resolution of technical process design issues;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organizational awareness;
• Fluent in English.

Knowledge

• Be familiar with Process modeling software, such as HYSYS, Unisim, etc. HYSYS Dynamic is a plus;
• Proven core Process Engineering skills, including Process systems design experience;
• Be familiar with general Process and Utility systems of upstream oil and gas sector;
• Have knowledge of main Process equipment and principles of its operation: Rotating equipment (Pumps, Compressors, Turbines), Static Equipment (Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer);
• Good understanding of Process Control and Safety.
