We are now looking for Purchasing Category Manager

This position works out of our Moscow, Russia location in the GPS Global Purchasing Services division located in Abbott Office responsible for both Abbott & Veropharm.
As the Indirect Procurement , Purchasing Category Manager you’ll contribute to the development and execution of indirect categories procurement strategy within Russia, part of EMEA Procurement. You’ll be responsible for compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures consistent with Abbott standard of business ethics and integrity. Drive Regional Procurement vision across divisions and influences synergies among divisions in Russia. This role will be reported to Indirect Procurement Head in Russia.

Core Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing various indirect spend categories within Russia GPS Procurement.
• Drives Value Creation: Identifies specific cost improvement opportunities, aligns with regional teams on the implementation plans and drives execution and adherence to the strategy
• Company spend analysis and identification of the opportunities for cost reduction/optimization;
• Identification of opportunities for spend reduction, supplier consolidation, lead time reduction, and standardization opportunities while maintaining/increasing quality, service and mitigating risks;
• KPIs achievements within operational excellence procurement standards;
• Own and measure cost improvement targets and projects. Report out to the key business stakeholders as appropriate
• Enable supplier evaluation processes and KPIs definition and monitoring
• Research supply base and industry / marketplace
• Conduct analysis on industry and ability to implement regional category strategies locally, communication with regional category managers;
• Lead complex RFQs/RFIs/RFPs/ e-auctions
• Provide support during the vendor screening and vendor selection process
• Develop and drive fact-based negotiation strategies with high profile vendors within assigned categories
• Recommend process improvements to streamline for efficiencies
• Communicate issues to leadership while driving for resolution
• Utilize technology and tools effectively
• Proactively seek and lead innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels
• Build and maintain strong relationships across various functions, demonstrate the value-add of leveraging and build enthusiasm and support for adoption.
• Execute operational scope of procurement activities: contract review and approval in docflow system, Purchase Order release in SAP.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/ Master degree, economics/ legal specifics is a preference
• 5+ years of Procurement and/or deep Category experience. Functional experience.
• SAP/eDocflow system Experience is a preference
• Fluent English
• Experience with Supplier management
• Experience with eAuction tools
• Extensive knowledge of category technologies and products.
