Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. Organizational Context and Scope:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in IOM Moscow and under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Assistant, the successful candidate will provide his/her support to the Unit and will be responsible and accountable for the following functions.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information; prepare proof of payment documents within the relevant individual cases.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, monitoring reviews, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.
- Liaise with AVRR staff in IOM partner missions in course of pre-departure, return and post-arrival reintegration phases, keeping them updated on the reintegration progress on individual cases.
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain electronic data records and files/records; assist in organizing meetings, workshops and training sessions.
- Travel on duty.
- Provide guidance/training to new/junior staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
