I'm Tatjana, the proud owner of UNIVERSEPAY (www.universepay.eu), a cutting-edge international fintech company. We specialize in seamless online payment processing for Internet Merchants, opening bank accounts, and securing financial licenses. As we continue to expand, I'm excited to invite a dynamic and driven Account Manager to join our innovative team.

In this pivotal role, you'll be at the heart of our operations, coordinating the onboarding of new Online Merchants, liaising with banks to secure approvals for merchant businesses, and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with our merchant accounts. You'll provide continuous support, ensuring our clients’ success and satisfaction.

You'll work closely with our team, gaining invaluable insights and experience.

As an Account Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate the registration process for new online merchants: from contract signing, technical integration, online payment testing, and KYC document collection to the start of processing and accepting real payments from customers of the online merchants.
  • Monitor merchants' turnover, approval ratio, and other key indicators, working to improve them in accordance with the weekly and monthly plans set by management.
  • Achieve financial KPIs and ensure the achievement of the company's revenue targets, identifying opportunities for additional and cross-sales to maximize the merchants' value for the company.
  • Communicate with banks to get approval for the merchants' business models and websites, find solutions for non-standard situations, and discuss contract terms with banks for specific merchants.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill merchant requests and quickly resolve issues.
  • Set up smart routing and cascading, implement and follow policies and procedures for chargeback prevention and detection, for both existing and new online merchants, to improve merchants' statistics and performance.
  • Ensure that the client goes live strictly within the deadlines outlined in the contract, monitor for violations, and address them promptly.
  • Stay in touch with merchants as the main point of contact, providing support to active merchants, responding to their inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering effective solutions in a timely manner to ensure good service.

As an Account Manager, you should be able to:

  • Utilize negotiation and conflict resolution expertise with clients and banks;
  • Monitor and ensure timely execution of plans.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Display effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Mandatory requirements

  • You have a minimum of 1 year experience in account management within e-commerce, acquirer or licensed Payment Service Provider;
  • You have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Finance, Marketing, or related field;
  • You are proficient in both English and Russian, written and oral, at a minimum B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level;
  • You understand payment processing flow, regulatory requirements, financial KPIs and metrics related to Merchants’ turnover and approval ratios;
  • You are proficient in utilizing back-office software and Microsoft Office.

Working conditions

  • Job type: full-time
  • Remote work
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 (Latvia time)
  • Weekends and public holidays according to the Latvian calendar
  • No business trips are expected
  • Service agreement
  • Corporate training

Compensation

  • First 3 months - 1000-1500 €
  • From 4th month - 1500-2000 €
