We are looking for Reliability Engineer on the our mine (West Africa).
The following considered critical:
- Data Analysis and Reporting: analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement. Generate reports on equipment reliability and availability.
- Failure Analysis and Root Cause Investigation: conduct thorough investigations of equipment failures to determine the root cause. Use techniques like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Reliability Improvement Initiatives: implement projects and initiatives aimed at improving the reliability and performance of mobile mining equipment. This may involve upgrading components, changing operating and or maintenance procedures, or identifying opportunities to use new technologies.
- Risk Management: assess and manage risks associated with equipment operation. This includes identifying potential failure modes and developing mitigation strategies and change management process for implementation.
- Collaboration with Maintenance and Operations: work closely with maintenance and operations teams to ensure reliability strategies are aligned with operational goals and that maintenance practices support equipment reliability and production targets.
- Training and Development: provide training and support to maintenance personnel to improve their understanding of reliability concepts and practices. Suggest improved operational practices when required to prevent equipment damage. Working with operator trainers and shift bosses.
- Performance Monitoring: continuously monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics to ensure targets are met and to identify opportunities for further improvement.
- Spare Parts Management: assist with advice and direction based on findings with regards availability and management of spare parts to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to seek and implement opportunities for enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency. Conduct weekly sessions with team leaders to identify possible ground level improvements in the maintenance practices.
Conditions:
- Rotation schedule 8 weeks on site, 4 weeks offsite (including travels);
