Key Responsibilities:

Set coding standards, review code, and mentor junior developers.
Ensure scalability, performance, and security.
Develop and iterate features quickly.
Tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions.
Work closely with product, design, and QA teams.
Enhance codebase and reduce technical debt.
Manage CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications.
Ensure the product meets user needs and provides a good experience.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
Previous experience in leading development projects.
Proven experience in developing complex applications, refactoring and optimizing the codebase.
Strong judgment in the election of gems, dependencies, and data stores.
Strong understanding of web-app performance fundamentals and architecture.
Strong database fundamentals and experience with SQL.
Applying the best practices of Test-Driven Development.
Proficient at debugging complex problems.
Experience with Stripe API and its advanced capabilities
Knowledge of Shopify API.
GraphQL Experience is a big plus.
