The Front-End Engineer Position

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate on the implementation of a cutting-edge solutions that showcases Galactica.com's impactful technical products. Our product is powered by modern web technologies, combining best-in-class open-source and cloud-based tools. As part of working on the product, you will be able to work with a talented group of product managers, designers, writers, developers, site reliability specialists and developer experience advocates.

Primary Responsibilities

Articulate a long-term technical direction and vision for building, maintaining, and scaling Galactica.com’s solutions,
Create trustworthy user experiences by building interfaces that are simple, easy to comprehend, performant and reliable using modern tools like React, React Native, Typescript, React Navigation,
Ensure you are familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security, and usability,
Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards,
Make your coworkers feel included in every interaction.

Basic Requirements

Knowledge and experience of building production applications with React and Typescript. Should be comfortable in setting standards and leading other developers in this space,
Solid CSS skill and experience with Tailwindcss,
Ability to work with APIs (Websockets, REST, GraphQL),
Experience with Apollo and react-query,
Experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano),
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent in demonstrable work experience,
2+ years of hands-on experience with some of the latest technologies to build rich web applications,
Attention to technical details,
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment,
Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability, innovation and intellectual curiosity,
Proficient in English.

The Application Process
