Senior PHP Developer (Phuket, Thailand)

We are searching for a Senior PHP Developer to join our team and help us develop one of our exciting FinTech and Blockchain projects - a payment system. The payment system has been growing rapidly over the past few years and we are now transitioning to a new microservices architecture. As a result, we need to expand our team with several PHP developers who are at a Senior level or above and are willing to become an integral part of our team.

Our tech stack includes:

• PHP 8.1+ (Laravel Zero)

• PostgreSQL

• Redis

• Swoole (async PHP)

• Docker/Kubernetes

We are looking for someone who:

• Writes clean, maintainable, and efficient code

• Understands and applies SOLID, KISS, DRY principles where appropriate

• Understands common design patterns

• Is highly proficient in Laravel or a similar PHP framework

• Has experience with relational databases

• Has worked with distributed service architectures

• Has experience building and maintaining REST APIs

• Has worked on asynchronous backend processing

• Is comfortable integrating and consuming third-party APIs

• Can work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Takes ownership and accountability for their work

• Has a growth mindset and is always eager to learn and improve

Agile & Collaboration:

• Good communication skills

• Familiar with Agile methodologies, understands sprints, backlog grooming, and sprint planning

• Comfortable estimating work in story points, can assess complexity and effort needed for tasks

• Used Jira and Confluence

• Can document APIs, system flows, and internal processes

Bonus points for:

• Previous experience in FinTech or Crypto

• Familiarity with financial instruments and payment processing

• Basic understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, and crypto transactions

• Understands CI/CD workflows, has experience working with automated deployments and testing

• Writing and maintaining automated tests (PHPUnit, Pest, Codeception)

• Event-driven architectures

• Handling floating point precision

• Low-latency systems – optimizations for faster execution, especially with payment processing

• Exposure to Rust, Go, or Python

Work Conditions:

• Candidates willing to relocate are preferred but remote work is possible either.

• Relocation to Phuket, Thailand. The company will cover your flight and provide basic housing
