SUMMARY
The Design Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the execution of design projects from inception to completion. This role is responsible for managing the creative workflow, ensuring seamless collaboration between artists, animators, and developers, and coordinating with the product owner to align tasks and deliverables with project goals. The Project Manager will play a key role in optimizing processes, handling communication between teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality visual assets
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the team of artists and animators by setting tasks, monitoring execution, and supporting professional development.
- Organize and optimize creative workflows within the department, ensuring smooth production processes and on-time delivery.
- Act as the primary liaison with the development team, providing necessary assets (art, animations), answering technical questions, and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with the product owner on documentation approval, task formation, progress reporting, and final work validation.
- Improve communication between artists and animators to streamline content creation and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Plan and oversee the production pipeline, considering concept design, storyboarding, animation, rendering, and integration into the final product.
- Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
- Ensure that all visual content meets the Chief Design Officer’s quality standards and aligns with the overall artistic direction.
- Facilitate team meetings, daily stand-ups, and creative brainstorming sessions.
- Manage the project budget, track expenses, and provide financial reports.
- Resolve issues and mitigate risks affecting project deadlines and quality.
- Ensure a smooth handoff of art assets to the development team, supporting integration and maintaining technical compliance.
- Gather feedback from developers and ensure that creative and technical expectations are balanced.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 years of experience in project management or coordination within a design-focused or creative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Design, or a related field.
- Software proficiency: Jira, Trello, Asana, Slack and graphic programs Adobe Suite, Figma.
- Good understanding of: 2D graphics, animation processes and production pipelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience working in development, production, art and design teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- English B2 (Upper-Intermediate)
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience managing design teams or working in an international creative environment.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design processes and industry trends.
- Understanding of creative asset production for marketing, branding, and digital design.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and adjust to changing priorities
