C# senior backend developer for advanced fintech team

Overview

• Pinnakl offers state of the art trading and portfolio management SaaS to hedge funds (investment management domain) on Wall Street.
• Pinnakl is extremely modern in terms of tech adoption. We use Azure resources including Service Broker, Cosmos, Durable tasks deployed as container apps, cross platform data streams based on gRPC. We are dealing with millions of data points a day.
• We are a young USA based company with < 15 people.
• Our team is horizontal-scaling team and free from bureaucracy. Each person communicates directly with the founder.
• We are looking for middle+ and senior roles. This position does not have a path to being Team Lead.
• Currently we have a remote team in Moscow with 4 people. This person will work closely with them.

• .NET 8.0
• Angular
• Azure

Minimal requirements for middle+ and senior positions:

• Strong experience in .NET including knowledge of GC
• Strong experience in ASP.NET Core
• Experience in unit testing
• Experience in SQL
• Experience building enterprise products
• Ability to work in time zone of Moscow or West of Moscow: overlap at least 3 hours with working hours in CST time zone (UTC -6) is required

Additional minimal requirements if you are applying on senior position:

• Experience in decision making in architecture questions on practice: chose bus, cache, DB, microservice architecture, logging, tracing, etc.
• Experience in DevOps (Azure Portal is preferable): create and maintenance pipelines and deploying

Nice to have:

• Experience in using gRPC including streams
• Experience in creation of infrastructure in cloud (Azure Portal is preferable): App Services, DBs, VMs, load balancers, etc.
• Experience in profiling and testing of code performance using special tools, e.g. BenchmarkDotNet
• Experience in integration and e2e testing
• Worked on stock exchange, or in algorithmic trading domain, or with FIX protocol

Responsibilities:

• Scoping, architecting, modeling and implementing multiple new product features as you collaborating with front end engineers, UX designers, and founder.
• Getting your hands dirty, writing API endpoints, schemas, data-handling functions, and other code.
• Advising and guiding the evolution of our product roadmap, providing feedback on feasibility and estimated timelines for new feature development.
